Privacy
How this website handles your data
This notice explains what information Via Veneto Luxury Suites collects through this website, why, and what rights you have over it. It covers only this website — if you book through a third-party platform such as Booking.com, that platform's own privacy policy applies to your booking.
Data Controller
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Via Veneto Luxury Suites S.r.l. (VAT no. 14277501004), Corso d'Italia 29, 5th floor, 00198 Rome, Italy — info@viavenetoluxurysuites.com, +39 06 854 0393. CIN: IT058091B4454FTNBJ.
Under EU Regulation 2016/679, we note that given the nature and scope of the data processing carried out, the appointment of a Data Protection Officer (DPO) is not considered mandatory. Data processing is supervised internally by the data controller, who relies on the advice of specialist professionals to ensure compliance.
What We Collect
The data we collect, and how
Data you give us directly
If you write to us by email, WhatsApp, phone, or the request form on this site, we see whatever you choose to share — typically your name, contact details and the content of your message — so we can reply.
Your ID document at check-in
Italian law requires every guest's ID to be registered with the local public security authority through the official "Alloggiati Web" portal. We collect only the details that portal requires. We do not keep a photo or photocopy of your document, and the data itself is deleted from our side as soon as the portal confirms the transmission — see Retention, below.
Technical browsing data
Like most websites, the hosting service that serves this page automatically records standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and access times), mainly for security and technical reliability.
Language preference
This site remembers whether you last viewed it in English or Italian, using your browser's local storage. That information stays on your device — it is not sent to us or to anyone else, and it is not used to track you.
The availability request form
The form on this site does not send data to a server: it opens your own email application with a pre-filled message, which you choose whether to send. Nothing is transmitted unless you actually send that email.
Bookings made through other platforms
If you book through Booking.com, TripAdvisor or a similar platform, the data you provide there is handled under that platform's own privacy policy, not this one.
Why
Why we process it
- To reply to the enquiries and booking requests you send us.
- To meet the guest-registration requirements that apply to accommodation businesses in Italy, when you stay with us.
- To keep this website secure and working correctly.
The legal basis is, depending on the case: your consent when you contact us; the steps needed before entering into a booking, at your request; our compliance with legal obligations; or our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Who We Share It With
Who sees your data
We share data only where needed, and only with these categories of recipients: the hosting provider that serves this website; our email provider, to handle the messages you send us; and public authorities where the law requires it, such as guest registration. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Email Communications
Newsletters and tracking pixels
We do not currently send newsletters or marketing emails, and the messages you send us through this site are not tracked with pixels or read receipts. If we introduce a newsletter or marketing emails in future, we will ask for your explicit consent first, explain clearly whether the email contains a tracking pixel and what it measures, and give you an easy way to opt out — in line with the Garante's guidelines on tracking pixels in email communications (Provvedimento n. 284 of 17 April 2026).
Retention
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages for up to 2 years from when they are collected. Your ID data collected for the mandatory police-registration process (required under art. 109 of the Italian Public Security Code, TULPS) is not kept by us at all: any copy of a guest's ID is deleted or destroyed as soon as the Alloggiati Web portal confirms the transmission. We keep only that confirmation receipt, for five years, as required by Ministerial Decree of 7 January 2013 (as amended by the Ministerial Decree of 16 September 2021, art. 4-bis) — as proof that we met the legal obligation.
Your Rights
What you can ask us to do
Under EU data protection law, you can ask us to:
- Let you see the data we hold about you
- Correct it, if it's inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete it, where there's no valid reason for us to keep it
- Restrict how we use it, in certain cases
- Give you a copy in a portable format
- Stop using it, if it's based on consent or legitimate interest
To exercise any of these, write to info@viavenetoluxurysuites.com. If you believe your data hasn't been handled properly, you can also complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), garanteprivacy.it.
Cookies
Cookies and local storage
This site does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. It makes no connection to any third-party server while you're simply browsing it: the typefaces you see are hosted on this site itself, not fetched from Google Fonts or any other external service, so nothing about your visit — not even your IP address — is exposed to a third party just by loading a page. The one exception is the "Check Availability" button: clicking it opens our booking engine, provided by Kosmosol, in a new tab — that connection happens only if and when you choose to click it, and from that point on Kosmosol's own privacy policy applies to their page. The only thing this site itself stores is your language choice (English or Italian), through your browser's local storage — purely functional, and it never leaves your device. In line with the Italian Data Protection Authority's guidance on cookie-like technologies, none of this requires your prior consent — but if that changes (for example, if we add analytics or marketing tools), this notice will be updated first.
Updates
Changes to this notice
We may update this page from time to time. The English and Italian versions are intended to match; if they ever differ, the Italian version prevails.
